(Studio vs. Sunset – Let’s Find Your Perfect Fit)
Ah, that newborn bubble—equal parts magical and exhausting. You're soaking in every sleepy smile and chubby little stretch, and now you're thinking... should we capture this moment before it all changes again? (The answer is always yes, by the way.)
But what kind of newborn session suits you best? Studio or outdoor? Let’s break it down so you can decide what feels right for your family.
Studio Sessions – Warm, Intimate & Natural
Held in my Norwest studio, these sessions are relaxed, light-filled, and designed to feel like a calm little retreat from the world.
✔️ Perfect for: Newborns up to 6 weeks old (especially those squishy 3-4 week babes)
✔️ Temperature controlled and comfy (ideal for your bub’s sensitive skin)
✔️ Includes gentle family, sibling + solo baby shots
✔️ Every tiny detail captured — from those curled-up toes to fluttery lashes, pouty lips, button noses and little ears
✔️ Easy wardrobe access with dresses + blankets all ready for you
✔️ No rushing – we follow baby’s lead, always
✔️ Easy Parking
If you're craving something simple, soft, and classic with minimal distractions — this is your go-to. These sessions are warm, intimate, and natural from beginning to end. No packing the whole house or worrying about weather — just come as you are and let me take care of the rest.
Just show up, feed your baby, and let the magic unfold.
Outdoor Newborn Sessions – Golden Hour Glow
For those craving something a little more adventurous (but still baby-friendly), my outdoor newborn sessions take place during golden hour in some of Sydney’s most dreamy spots.
✔️ Ideal for newborns around 2–6 weeks old who are settled and happy to be cuddled outdoors
✔️ Held just before sunset for that gorgeous, glowing light
✔️ A little more documentary and connected to nature
✔️ Think snuggles, barefoot strolls, and wind-swept kisses
✔️ Beautiful for families who want those raw, emotive, earthy vibes
Just a heads-up: these sessions are weather dependent and a little more fast-paced (we work with baby’s cues and natural light), so they’re best for chill, go-with-the-flow families.
So... Studio or Sunset?
At the end of the day, both options celebrate this fleeting, love-filled season in their own beautiful way. It just comes down to what environment feels most “you.”
Want something calm and curated? Studio.
Craving connection and movement in nature? Sunset.
Still not sure? I’ve got you. Shoot me a message and we’ll figure it out together 💛
